SERVICE LIGHT RESET PROCEDURES

WARNING. Only use these Service Light Reset Procedures if you have serviced your car to the manufacturer’s recommended standard. I have not used or tested every reset procedures listed, and cannot be responsible for any damage.   


FORD TRANSIT 2000-2006 watch video

1. Switch the ignition on (position II) without starting engine.
2. Fully depress the accelerator and the brake pedal simultaneously for at least 15 seconds until the light flashes.
3. Turn ignition off.

FORD TRANSIT 2006 on

WARNING! If step 5 is not followed damage to vehicle could occur, please read all steps first.

1. Switch the ignition on (position II) without starting engine.
2. Press both brake and accelerator pedal together until the Service interval indicator (orange spanner) flashes or Service Oil Reset message appears on display (If fitted). This will take 15-20 seconds.
3. Release pedals.
4. Check service reminder has gone off. If not repeat from step 1.
5. Turn ignition key to position 0 (off) and wait at least 2 minutes for the PCM (Power Train Module) to power down and update memory.
6. Turn ignition key to position II (don't start) check service reminded has gone off.
7. Turn key to position 0.
