Which Series Alpine?

This list shows the different series and engine sizes that were available, I think you either want an Alpine with the earlier larger fin or the later cut down type with larger boot (fuel tank moved to wings).

WHERE DO SUNBEAM ALPINE'S RUST?

Unfortunately Sunbeam Alpine’s do rust and the biggest worry when buying an Alpine is has it been repaired well? Be extra careful if restored recently, it may look great to today but if repaired badly the rust could soon reappear.
These pictures show where to look, main structural places are ends of cruciform, inner and outer sills, spring hangers (check in boot), chassis legs, floor pans and inner rear arches.
Non structural are wings, front and rear valance, doors, wheel arches, shuttle panel and windscreen frame, boot and later hard top if fitted.
