INERTIA FUEL SHUT OFF SWITCH

Inertia fuel cut off switch is fitted to a vehicle to stop the fuel pump running if the car has a crash. It is possible to accidentally trip the switch, some are fitted under the passenger seat and can be trip by sudden seat movement or by hitting a pot hole. So if your car won’t start or cuts out, check to see if your car has one fitted. If tripped just reset by pushing button on top back down. Later cars are now often controlled by the air bag ECU instead, so only will cut fuel if air bag is deployed.
