A CLASS
1. Point the key at the vehicle & press the lock/unlock button twice.
2. Turn the ignition switch to position II within 30 seconds.
C CLASS (1993-1997), E CLASS (1995-1997), SLK (1996-)
1. Point the remote control at the receiver – this should be located in the driver’s door handle or next to the boot lock button.
2. Press the lock/unlock button.
3. Within 30 seconds manually lock or unlock the vehicle using the passenger’s door lock or the boot lock.
Alternative method
1. Point the remote control at the receiver – this should be located in the driver’s door handle or next to the boot lock button.
2. Press the lock/unlock button.
3. Within 30 seconds, switch the ignition ON.

2. Press the lock/unlock button.
3. Within 30 seconds, turn the ignition switch to position II.
M CLASS
1. Turn the key to position 2 in the ignition lock. Then turn the key to position 0 in the ignition lock & remove.
2. Within 60 seconds, press & hold the LOCK button.
3. While holding the LOCK button, press the UNLOCK button 5 times.
4. Check all functions.
5. If it still does not operate correctly, repeat the procedure.
