SERVICE LIGHT RESET PROCEDURES

WARNING. Only use these Service Light Reset Procedures if you have serviced your car to the manufacturer’s recommended standard. I have not used or tested every reset procedures listed, and cannot be responsible for any damage.   

BMW up to 1999 3 series 5 series 7 series Z3

BMW 1999 on
BMW 3 series 5 series X5
BMW MINI ONE COOPER COOPER S

1. Ignition off
2. Press and hold trip reset button
3. Turn ignition key to first position (accessory)
4. Keep button depress until you see OIL SERVICE or INSPECTION displayed together with ‘’RESET’’ or ‘’rESET’’ 
5. Release button
6. Press button again until ‘’RESET’’ or ‘’rESET’’ starts to flash
7. Release button and press again before it stops flashing
8. The new service interval will be displayed with END SIA
