BRAKE PAD WEAR WARNING LIGHT

Brake pad warning light BRAKE PAD WEAR WARNING LIGHT

This is normally a brake pad wear warning light or could be handbrake ’on’ light (release the handbrake fully and check switch see below).Have brakes checked ASAP. If the light has been on for a while and you hear a grinding noise when braking, your brake pads are probably worn out, check disc for scoring see picture.

HANDBRAKE SWITCH

The handbrake warning light switch is on the side of the handbrake lever, make sure that it is tight and the button is depress when brake is released, also check connections are good.
