What will it fit?
It has been tried and tested on Audi, Fiat, Ford, Kia, Rover/MG, Land Rover, Nissan, Renault, Seat, Vauxhall and VW. The only cars it won’t fit are people carriers, which have larger ball joints, although it can be filed to fit Renault Scenic and Ford Galaxly etc.
Measuring the Ball Joint
The easiest way to measure the ball joint is to cut a cardboard/plastic template with a 9.5mm slot, if it goes under the ball the repair clip will fit.
It can be filed out to 11.5mm see below.
Filing the clip
The slot can be made larger using a hand file or dremel. It can be held using mole grips and a vice.
TIP
If wiper motor end is worn and linkage is symmetrical, turn linkage around and fit repair clip on windscreen wiper end.
